USM at Osaka Expo 2025
The Swiss furniture manufacturer is proud to announce its leading role in the Swiss Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, where its iconic modular furniture will take pride of place in celebration of Swiss design, sustainability, and innovation.

EXPO 2025
From 13 April to 13 October 2025
Yumeshima, Osaka
As an official partner to the Swiss Pavilion, the timeless furniture created by USM represents a key visual and functional element of the exhibition space. Combining aesthetics and sustainability, USM modular furniture reflects the central theme of the Swiss Pavilion: "Innovative Switzerland – the land where ideas are born."
Over the next 6 weeks, visitors to the Pavilion will be able to discover how USM furniture brings versatility and elegance to a space conducive to the contemplation of the sustainable lifestyle and future-oriented design. From the welcome area to the meeting rooms, and not forgetting the information terminals, USM furniture creates a sleek and contemporary environment that is in keeping with the mission statement of the Pavilion: to inspire dialogue and connection.

"We are honoured to represent Swiss design excellence on the international scene," declared Hiroshi Kawaguchi, President of USM Japan. "Our partnership with Presence Switzerland in the Pavilion extends beyond furniture – it is about showcasing the values that are dear to us: quality, modularity, and sustainability."
The USM contribution is particularly significant in 2025, as it coincides with an important milestone: the 60th anniversary of the creation of USM Haller furniture! This sustainable heritage highlights our philosophy regarding timeless design – a concept that is embodied to magnificent effect within the spaces of the Pavilion.

Designed by Swiss architects Manuel Herz and Asao Tokolo, the Pavilion itself is constructed using renewable materials and features a recyclable structure. The USM modular furniture system integrates perfectly with this vision as it is designed for long-term use and is entirely reusable — these values stand in perfect harmony with the theme of Expo 2025: "Designing future society for our lives", and are also in keeping with Switzerland's environmental commitments.

The Swiss Pavilion offers an exceptional platform on which to demonstrate Swiss leadership in the areas of innovation, technology, and lifestyle. USM is honoured to participate in this major event and is delighted to have the opportunity to engage with visitors who share a passion for functional, aesthetic, and sustainable design.
