Musashino Art University in Japan

Musashino Art University is known throughout the world as a leading light in the fields of art and design. Originally built in 1967 by Yoshinobu Ashihara, the University’s School of Architecture was expanded by his famous student Yoichiro Hosaka in 1974.

The school’s magnificent entrance hall, with its marble floor and ten metre high white walls, was the perfect place for a permanent exhibition. And the perfect choice for exhibition furniture? USM Haller glass showcases: bold enough to hold their own in the powerful hall, sufficiently elegant to tastefully exhibit the objects on display, and with enough versatility to adapt changes in the permanent exhibition.

If you’re inspired by MAU’s showcases, you can design your own museum or gallery display furniture using our online configurator. To talk with one of our trained experts about the possibilities of USM modular furniture, get in touch.
