Furniture to fit your home, not the other way around.

London, United Kingdom

The USM Haller system has eight different tube sizes, to give you the building blocks to design a piece of furniture for your home which can fit into almost any sized space. London and New York based practice Michaelis Boyd Associates used five different tube sizes throughout this three-storey London home to create furniture that fits perfectly. One of the open plan kitchens, features a large dark grey storage and display unit which showcases the children’s toy collections. To add a pop of colour to the same kitchen, golden yellow was chosen to create a media unit, with a mixture of open and closed storage. The home office has a steel blue storage unit, which has been added onto and turned into an ‘L’ shape configuration, to create more storage space. This designer home also boast a statement floating red staircase, inspired from Doh Ho Suh “Staircase-III” which was exhibited at the Tate Modern.
