USM Office Affairs
At the same time as Orgatec, USM will premiering the newly developed USM Kitos M and USM Privacy Panel products at the Cologne event's DOCK.ONE location, using an extraordinary exhibition concept.
Inspired by the cooperation with the Gottlieb Duttweiler institute, USM will give answers to the question of how the world of employment can be designed in the future to meet global trends with an inspiring exhibition space of more than 1,000 m².
For USM the megatrends "resource-efficient management", "satisfying the needs of several generations" and "digital life" are the focal point of the exhibition. To explore these megatrends, the worlds of employment of tomorrow cannot only be presented theoretically at the booth. Therefore, the management and employees of USM decided to relocate part of the administration to Cologne and present proposed solutions for a future-oriented workstation design live on site.
Handling resources responsibly at work and in architecture requires new thinking and the use of new technologies. USM's reaction to these challenges is the market launch of the first mechanically height-adjustable desk without a gas pressure spring, which addresses elementary subjects such as flexible working and sustainable action.
A superior concept is to show where the journey is heading: During the event, the hall will be disconnected from the mains supply and supplied with power in a self-sustaining manner by Multicon Solar AG by means of an off-grid solution. In addition, a shuttle service with the Panamera S E-Hybrid by Porsche from and to the trade fair in Cologne will be available for visitors.
The modern office is a diverse environment with employees spanning several generations, companies face the challenge of offering different generations a custom-made, inspiring and modern work environment. The modular "USM Privacy Panel", presents a solution which structures workstation types in a space-efficient and flexible manner and zoned working areas. An attractive workstation design is also characterised by the possibility to satisfy the needs of everyday life in a quick and uncomplicated manner. In doing so, USM will be supported by the All-You-Need Service by Deutsche Post and the fitness coach Jan Wiedenbach during the event.
New technologies enable the networking of offices and their employees without having to meet in person. Video conferences, home office and hotelling workstations modify workplace structures, and new requirements for the office organisation emerge. The USM modular furniture systems adapts to these changes and offers technically intelligent solutions which can easily be matched to individual requirements.
Part of the USM team will work live on-site in Cologne. The byUSM Showrooms in Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart will be communicating with the team in Cologne during the entire trade fair and will be networked through various different channels.
